The Ask
Pewaukee Drywall Pros has been a major drywall and painting service provider in Waukesha County for more than 7 years, catering to 9 different cities in the region.
The client wanted to expand their clientele and attract higher-paying customers online, so they reached out to our team.
The existing website was seeing minuscule traffic and conversions. Most importantly, it had to rank highly for keywords most relevant to the new target audience. The client needed to refocus their local SEO strategy and do some major website redesign.
What We Did
Consumer Research
To profile the target customer, we discussed with company staff and analyzed their existing customer data. We then identified the ICP’s major pain points and their most likely locations; West Milwaukee, Wauwatosa and West Allis.
Keyword Research
Our keyword strategy focused on relevant “drywall” search terms with serious buying intent (money keywords), targeting the most relevant cities.
We also identified informational keywords that addressed the big pain points. Customers had several questions regarding the quality and duration of projects, common drywall problems, and seasonal jobs.
Website Design & Optimization
The entire website was redesigned to be made more navigable and visually appealing. We added pages for each service the client offered and location pages for the target cities.
To achieve optimal responsiveness and interactivity, we fixed JavaScript and CSS files that were loading slowly.
The ideal prospects were big on visual proof of work, so we used striking examples of the client’s drywall work on all pages of the website. We also created a portfolio page.
Content on each page was keyword-optimized. To drive engagement and trust, we created an FAQ page based on the informational keywords discovered during our research.
GMB Optimization
We also improved the client’s Google Business Profile, since it was crucial to their lead generation. We built local citations, added more pictures from their portfolio, included relevant keywords, and filled out their important business information.
The Results

Within 2 months, lead conversions increased by 167% while phone calls went up by 133%.
